PDF Flow Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 15, 2026

Parties: You (hereinafter referred to as "User") and the Developer of PDF Flow (hereinafter referred to as "We")

I. Acceptance and Scope of the Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using PDF Flow (hereinafter referred to as "the Application") through the Apple Store, you indicate that you have fully read, understood, and agreed to accept all the contents of these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of the terms, please do not use the Application.

This Agreement constitutes a legal agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Application.

Matters not specified in this Agreement shall be governed by Apple Store rules and applicable laws.

We reserve the right to update this Agreement as needed for business adjustments. Significant updates will be communicated to you through in-app announcements or other means. Your continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

II. Service Content and Usage License

(I) Service Scope

This application provides users with the following core functions:

Photo Scanning: Supports taking photos with the device's camera and generating PDFs, with flash assistance;

OCR Text Recognition: Extracts and recognizes text from scanned or imported PDF files;

PDF Import: Supports importing PDF files stored locally on the user's device;

PDF Editing: Provides PDF splitting and page order adjustment functions;

Annotation Tools: Supports highlighting, highlighting, and drawing annotations on PDF content.

(II) License Authorization

We grant users a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use this application only on devices legally owned or controlled by you, and not exceeding the restrictions of the Apple Store Usage Rules.

You may not:

Lend, rent, sell, sublicense, or transfer the right to use this application;

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to obtain the source code of this application;

Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of this application;

Circumvent the technical protection measures of this application or use unauthorized versions of the application.

III. User Rights and Responsibilities

Permissions: Using this application's photo scanning function requires granting camera permissions; importing local PDFs requires granting file storage access permissions; the OCR recognition function requires granting corresponding data processing permissions.

You can manage permissions through your device settings. Denying authorization may render the corresponding function unusable, but will not affect the normal operation of other functions.

Content Responsibility: You promise that all files processed through this application (including scanned documents, imported PDFs, OCR recognition results, etc.) are legally owned by you or have been fully authorized, and do not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legitimate rights.

The following content is prohibited from being processed using this application:

Information that violates applicable laws and regulations or public order and good morals;

Unauthorized information involving state secrets, trade secrets, or personal privacy;

Obscene, violent, terrorist, or other harmful content.

You are responsible for the security of your device and account. We are not liable for information leaks or losses caused by lost devices or compromised accounts.

IV. Data Processing and Privacy Protection

We process your personal information and file data strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy, adhering to the principles of "legality, legitimacy, and necessity." We collect information only as necessary to achieve our service functions, and this process complies with relevant international data protection rules and the privacy regulations of your region.

Local Processing: Functions such as photo scanning, PDF editing, and annotation are completed locally on your device by default; data is not uploaded to our servers.

OCR Recognition Data: Text data generated during the recognition process is only used to return recognition results to you. We will not use it for other purposes or share it with third parties unless we obtain your explicit authorization or are required by law.

We use industry-standard security measures such as encryption technology and access control to protect your data security, but we cannot guarantee absolute risk-free operation. We are not liable for data loss caused by force majeure, cyberattacks, or other factors beyond our control.

V. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights of this application (including but not limited to source code, interface design, functional algorithms, trademarks, icons, etc.) belong to us and are protected by copyright law, trademark law, and other relevant international conventions and applicable laws.

You own the intellectual property rights to the PDF files and annotations you generate and edit through this application. However, you authorize us to temporarily access such content only to provide you with services related to this application (such as troubleshooting and function debugging), and not to use it for any other purpose or to identify your personal information.

Without our written authorization, you may not use any intellectual property rights of this application, nor may you use the functions or content of this application for commercial purposes.

VI. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

This application provides services "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor do we guarantee the absolute accuracy of OCR recognition results. You should verify the recognition results yourself.

We are not liable for losses caused by:

Your failure to comply with this agreement or improper device settings;

Third-party software, hardware malfunctions, or network problems;

Force majeure, changes in laws and regulations, or other reasons not attributable to us.

VII. Termination of Agreement

You may uninstall this application and stop using it at any time, and this agreement will automatically terminate.

If you violate this agreement, we have the right to suspend or terminate the provision of services to you.

Upon termination of this agreement, you should cease using this application. We may retain your data to comply with applicable legal requirements, but will no longer provide data access services.

VIII. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This application complies with international data protection regulations such as GDPR, and your personal data rights are protected by applicable laws. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it amicably through negotiation. If negotiation fails, you may file a complaint with the data protection regulatory authority in your region or resolve the dispute through local legal channels.

IX. Other Terms

If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Our failure to exercise any right under this agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
